Ode to the Hibiscus

This Mediterranean flower has its habitat in the (sub)tropics. You can also admire her in our garden, where she stands out with her fiery colors (white, pink, red, purple or yellow) and lush flowering with large flowers up to 15 cm wide. If you look closely at her, you will see that her seeds appear when the capsule is opened, as if she is revealing her secrets and has nothing to hide. That is the beauty of nature: being beautiful in the purest form of life.

Ode aan de Hibiscus

Deze mediterrane soort heeft haar habitat in de (sub)tropen. Ook in onze tuin kan je haar bewonderen met haar vurige kleuren (wit, roze, rood, paars of geel) en weelderige bloei met grote bloemen tot 15 cm breed. Als je goed naar haar kijkt dan zie je dat haar zaden tevoorschijn komen bij het openklappen van de doosvrucht, alsof ze haar geheimen prijsgeeft en niets te verbergen heeft. Dat is de schoonheid van de natuur: mooi zijn in de puurste vorm van het leven.
